LEGAL AID FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE
John
Boye Life Care Foundation established a Judicial/Legal council made
up of retired, magistrates and Lawyers.
Some
of them specialize on lintigation proceedings
Our
vision is to have that numbers grow from 600-800 within the first
three years of our operation.
This
programme will entail the creation of a fund to finance legal aid
for persons who cannot afford legal aid. A group of lawyers will be
brought together to work on both permanent and temporal basis under
the fund to help cases involving the less fortunate in society.
2.
COMBAT CHILD LABOUR AND TRAFFICKING
JBLCF
establishes a special fund for campaign and prevention of child
labour and trafficking. A system of preventing children from hawking
water and food stuffs as a first step will be initiated. Campaign
for the prosecution of parents, guardians and other persons abusing
the right of the child will follow.

EDUCATE THE LESS FORTUNATE ON THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
OBLIGATIONS AND THE LAW
Funding
for civic education on constitutional rights and law in deprived
communities. The programme is to assist in educating the common man and
woman on their rights and responsibilities as good citizens.
4. HEALTH/EDUCATION/SUPPORT
John
Boye Life Care involve in Community School, rural and urban Health
Programmes. This is by developing health policies, effective health
systems, promoting healthy lifestyles of the less privileges, destitute,
orphans, and widows. To promote healthy lives, quality education of
children and protect them against abuse explitation and violence.
JBLCF
aims to reduce motality, disability in both rural and urban cities as well
reducing health hazards and risks emanating from environment, social and
poor economy lifestyle. With support of donors and proceed from poverty
alleviation projects, the association provide scholarship to children,
pupils and students that could not afford the cost of education in both
basic and high institutions.
5.
REHABILITATION/SETTLEMENT
JBLCF are aware that there could be displacement due to war,
ecological disaster, environmental hazards, we (as
need be)
work with local, national and international agencies
for care and
protection of the displaced. Secondly those displayed
due to
needs, poverty. Social economic problems. JBLCF promotes
sustainable human settlements development through
policy
formulation,
capacity building, knowledge creation. Adequate
shelter, human
settlement programme supports which include slum
upgrading, rural and urban poverty reduction, sanitation using
poverty
reduction programmes, and other domestic financial
resources aswell
other support from government, agencies,
donation e.t.c.for
support
and shelter delivery. |
Children
in especially difficult circumtances make up the bulk of the domestic
labour force.
Poverty
has forced many families to take their children out of school and utilize
their labour to add to the family income. |
