The Hidden Work Force Child Domestic Labour
Over 250million children today are at work worldwide. African children constitute 32 per cent of this number (80 million) and there could be a surge to over 100 million by the year 2015 as a result of the increasing number of impoverished people and inadequate economic growth in the continent.
The definition of child in the term child labour by the international labour Organization especially in Convention 138 (1976),
is 'persons below 15years.
Sections 58 - 63 of the labour Decree of 1974, include a wide range of provisions designed to discourage child labour. |
